sundevil67 28 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 My Fire TV that runs Emby (primary TV) has stopped working altogether. It is brutally slow if the content does start to load, but nothing ever really plays. It's always been pokey because it's an old computer, but it's fine when I access it from a web browser on another computer. Has there been any known issue with a recent update that might explain this? Or maybe something in my log that sheds any light? I did recently have to change most of the paths in my library to account for my IPTV provider switching paths, but I'm not sure if that could have any impact. Thank you. embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Hi, what example are we looking at here? What did you try to play and when? Thanks.
sundevil67 28 Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 It's just like going to the mechanic. As soon as I got back & tested it, the Android & iOS versions - albeit a lot slower than the browser, started working again. Still inconsistent & a lot of restarts required, but it was working. It's done this before, making it impossible to replicate/fix.

While I had it working for a minute, I went ahead and tried to update the server app & bricked it permanently I think. I realized too late, while I was overwriting the Emby app that it was the icon with the line through it, indicating it would not be installable on my OS. The downloadable update isn't compatible with High Sierra - even though it says it'll work with 10.13. I couldn't restore the previous version with Time Machine, so the only way I'm going to be able to use Emby - at least until I can buy a new computer, which isn't going to be anytime soon - is if you can point me to an archive containing older versions of Emby Server that will work with High Sierra / 10.13.6. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide...
