Barbablanca 7 Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 At the risk of appearing like a total noob, what directory do I extract the ADM.dll to? Will I see it as a list of installed plugins once it's placed in the appropriate directory?

As with all plugins: server's \programdata\plugins folder; you can find server's main folders location (as those vary by platform) in the Dashboard by clicking three-dots next to your server name>Get Server Info. Restart the server once .dll copied. 17 minutes ago, Barbablanca said: Will I see it as a list of installed plugins once it's placed in the appropriate directory? Yes. tekni63 3 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Hello ! Is it compatible with 4.8.10.0? I copied the ADMv2.dll in /docker/emby/config/plugins and also in /docker/emby/config/. after restarting the app and container, nothing appears in the “Advanced” section or in the list of extensions. Is this normal?
mickle026 650 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 It still works fine on 4.9.0.31 beta, so should work fine on that build. I dont know where the plugins are on docker so I cannot advise on where to put the dll. I am thinking that its not in the right place but do not know fo sure. "config" just looks wrong to me the directory should surely end "/plugins" without the config, that is surely just the xml config files? /home/plugins or /emby/plugins ? You will need to check the embyserver.txt log file after restarting and see if it is loaded. If its not even there then its not in the correct folder. Someone else may be able to advise with docker
Neminem 1518 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 @tekni63You would need to look at where you are storing you persistent emby docker folder. You can see where you have placed that in your docker compose. Mine are located in I would guess yours are in here. /docker/emby/plugins
tekni63 3 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 (edited) Thank you for your feedback, as shown on the screenshot, the path is indeed this one the plugin is supposed to be in the right place i'm definitely missing something .. Edited November 24, 2024 by tekni63
Killface69 96 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Have you restarted Emby after copying the dll to Plugins?

mickle026 650 Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Looks to me like you put it in the system plugins directory and not the addon plugins directory. Maybe I am wrong or maybe docker is different from a windows install, but in windows there are two plugin directories, one for emby system plugins Emby-Server\system\plugins and one for addon plugins from the catalogue or community addons Emby-Server\programdata\plugins Did you check it was loaded in the embyserver.txt log file? 2024-11-25 09:10:16.976 Info App: Loading assemblies 2024-11-25 09:10:17.130 Info App: Loading ADMv2, Version=1.0.6.853, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\plugins\ADMv2.dll
