Hi, no, but by the way, you no longer have to sideload the android app. You can find it in the store now.

Everyone sees things differently. I detest the Android app, mostly, but I find the Roku app mostly pretty good.

Also there is no way to reliably side load anything on Roku anymore but that is Roku's fault not Emby's. But I know people equally disenchanted with both apps and some that will use nothing but Android and even one that has nothing but Apple products and one other that dislikes every Emby client but has a computer hooked to their TV.
People are very different in their likes and dislikes and that is one primary reason Emby has so many different clients available. I mst situations I tell people to pick one or two and stick with those.

I use my Rokus about 85-90% of the time but my neighbor uses nothing but Android. When either person from that family visits they tend to complain about the interface I use and I return the favor when I visit there.

If you prefer the Android app then use the Android app.

BTW: Every Android device I have has the Emby app available in the Google store. I would suggest you take a look and see if your "Google store" app in outdated. It sound like you are using the TV itself as a client and TV manufacturers are notorious for not keeping their Android app up to date. Which is why I never use the smart features on the TVs I buy. I would like to buy dumb TVs but they are more expensive than smart ones so I buy smart TVs and just do not use the "smart" features, and I connect my clients to them.

the android app has tons of information in it and it also looks way better than the roku app. now this is the side loaded android app on not the defult app on the store which is the same as the roku app.. also my tv apps are all updated whenever an update comes out. and my tv is way better than others on the market it is the hisense u8h 65 inch 4 k tv it has everything on it and blows away lots of tv's for thousand of dollars more. i purchased the tv for its smart features don't know why you would purchase a smart tv and not use the features it has that is just a waste of money imo

Try just searching for "emb" and you should get 2 results, you only get 1 if you type the full name.

I purchased a "smart" TV because it was a lot cheaper that an equivalent dumb TV and that is true across the board. In the last 5 years or so I have found even one dumb TV that actually had the same features, excluding the dumb smart features, that was cheaper than a smart TV by a good margin.

Companies sell smart TVs cheaper than dumb TVs because they figure they will make the money back in ad revenue and bundle deals. That is true for most people but I find that my Rokus and Fire sticks  and my Shield give me everything I need and can connect to almost any TV and i do not have to learn a new interface when I change TVs.

Also all smart TVs that I have tested have much slower clunky interfaces than the stand alone set top boxes that I use.

You can use a PC and web browser to get to Google Play. Then choose "Install on more devices" and if  your TV shows up there you go. If it doesn't show up you do not have access to the full app-store on your device.
