recordings are not being logged

Is there a setting that tells Emby not to record recorded TV?  I've obviously recorded a series, but nothing is logged under Live TV > Recordings.

I think that is what he was talking about. I was confused about that as I did not initially understand how it worked. I still don't fully understand its workings but I could not successfully record anything until I set that up. But I may have been doing something else wrong.

I went ahead and actually set it to the default that was already defined in the drop list.  We'll see if anything changes.

All the recordings populated on the page.  Should I ask why it is not populated even though Emby creates a folder and records the stuff?
