podonnell 47 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Hi, I had an instance the other day where Intro Skipper was running during a stream and it may have been causing some freezing on the playback, so I killed the task. Then I went and scheduled it to be at a specific time of day and I'm good. However, some titles seem to be missing the skip intro prompt that I had recently added to my library, so I am worried that I may have stopped it during those and they are in a bad state. How do I go about troubleshooting what the plugin sees for intros, and can I manually adjust or send certain items back to be analyzed again? Thanks!
Luke 42077 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Hi, what do you mean by Skipper? What task did you kill?

"Detect Episode Intros" is what I believe it is called. I stopped that process. Outside of that, just looking to see how I can verify what was found for particular titles, for some reason no intro skip is coming up on some of my items that were added that day.

What would you recommend to help me share the details? This one is tricky because the 'skip intro' is not coming up. It works on one season of a show, but the season I added the day I stopped the 'detect intros' job never has the button to skip appear. Is there some kind of debug tool that lets me see where the 'intro' markers are on particular titles?

I confirmed the 'Markers' is set on the library, but I feel like this task maybe was cancelled on the series when it was first imported. Is there any way to re-run this for a specific series without re-adding the media?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Dev will have to comment but only thing I can think of would be Refresh metadata on episodes, Season, or Series. But the plugin shows info per item.

Just tried this, but it does not kick off the 'Detect Episode Intros' task. However, even after manually running that it still does not seem to have intros. Wondering if the media is the issue. 17 hours ago, Happy2Play said: Dev will have to comment but only thing I can think of would be Refresh metadata on episodes, Season, or Series. I'm going to post in the thread there, but it shows there are no intros for the series season I selected.

Thanks for the nice image. I checked that out and the intro start and end were missing. So it looks like the built-in one is not picking them up. From what I'm reading, I need to get a database and search it and then run a check with the plugin you linked to get the intros to show. Update: Just tried to load the DB, got a success message, but when I did a download/reload of the intro data, the series I am looking for was not shown. Edited September 13, 2024 by podonnell
