weird connect email address

I tried to add a guest for the connect it had me put a email address which I did. I then received the email saying someone wants to share media with me but the email that it list as the person who wants to share is not me email address. Is this normal?

Please explain exactly what you did step by step but are you sure someone else didn't also try to share with you at the same time?  You wouldn't receive an email when you share with someone else (until they accept it).

Ok so I RMB on the mediabrowser icon in the task bar and selected "configure media browser" in the window that opened. I then selected the "user" section, next I clicked "Guest" in the window to the right and entered the email address of the person I wanted to give access to. This time I entered another one of my email addresses. I clicked the "send invitation" button and got a message that the email had been sent.

 

Now I went to my email client for the address I entered and this is what I got, the name of the server is correct but I don't know that email address. I don't even know how to put a email address to my server or account.

The local user name you have on your MB server is "mediacenter" huh...?

You should be able to solve this by linking one of your local user accounts with your forum account out here.
