Customizing the home screen isn't working

New to Emby, looking to customize the samsung tv app home screen but nothing I change in the setting "home screen" options changes anything, and I'm not sure what the "sections" refer to. Is there a guide anywhere specifically on home screen customization so that I can see if I'm missing something? The only thing that happens when I try to edit it is the order of my libraries swaps on the samsung tv app (which I then have to manually revert back on my android app)

Could you please explain a little more what exactly you are trying to customize? Sections refer to each horizontal row you see on your home screen.

'My Media' libraries are typically the first default row (section) - you can choose to not show these, as well as change the order they are displayed on that row.

Are you using the vertical or horizontal layout for the home screen?  Changing sections only relates to the vertical layout, while changing the library order will change the menu order on the horizontal layout.

Thanks, I got it to work with the vertical layout, I wasn't aware that horizontal layout doesn't get impacted by the section changes (maybe this can be made clearer in the UI?).

 

I also faced a weird bug during this whole process where the library order would reset to the default any time I changed anything in the home screen options (either the layout, or the section changes), and then I wasn't able to change the order again on the samsung TV app and had to do it through my phone/browser for the user. Is this a known issue?
