Emby does not play TV with m3u8 extension

Hello friends, this week I was looking for another option to stream my content and I decided to try Emby. All my content plays wonderfully but when I get to the live TV part I have a problem.

It doesn't play channels with the m3u8 extension, the truth is this surprised me since I come from using jellyfin and I didn't have this problem, I would like to know if there is a solution for this, my provider uses this extension so trying to use this service is going to bring me many problems.

 

I have tried other extensions that are not m3u8 and it works wonderfully but it was not from my provider and it was only 2 channels

Are you downloading the m3u8 from your provider and using it locally? or are you adding the m3u8 via a url link?

Post your m3u subscription link here and change your username and password to something different and I can show you how to make it work in emby.

Im just setup up my 1st emby server and having the same issue with M3u8 could anyone help me out I'm get the epg data but nothing playing when I try to play a channel

Hello, they didn't give me a link, just a file to play, and they don't ask me for a username and password.

Good thanks for your answers, I was looking at options and in plugins I found the IPTV option so with that it allowed me to play my m3u8 links the bad thing about this is that I have to add it 1 by 1 and it is somewhat exhausting but hey something is something it would still be good to be able to play on live tv at some point.
