DLNA with Android TV

Hey all,

 

I have an emby server on my NAS and i can access with my web browser or my phone and play my media in DLNA.

But i have try to install emby client on Android TV or Android and i can't see DLNA flux... 

Need to buy Emby premier to have this function ?

Hi.  If you are using our app, you don't use DLNA.  You just connect directly to your server.

Ok in this case only way is to use web browser ? Or i can find another app to access my emby server and cast my media in dlna ?

If you have the app installed, you do not need DLNA.  You just connect to your server address and the app gives you (much better) access to everything.

I understand but I still sometimes need to access DLNA so if I want to do that the only solution is to install an emby server on my Android box? or other application on my tv to do this?

No, in that case, you would install a DLNA client onto the Android box...
