Any advice to resolve this? Thanks!
Luke 42077 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 HI, what model Synology is this? @FrostBytehave you updated to DSM 7.2.1?
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I and several others have updated to DSM 7.2.1 and now 7.2.2 without any problems. 1
ycflash 0 Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 Hi Luke, it's a DS1821+ with DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5. A crash may happen a day or more after emby running sometime. I didn't see a time pattern when it crash. The segfault message indicates related to sqlite, but according to https://www.synology.com/en-global/releaseNote/DSM , no sqlite related change since 7.2-64570. Currently I would like to stay on 7.2.1 as 7.2.2 removes HEVC (H.265), AVC (H.264), and VC-1 codecs, if that is possible.
Luke 42077 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 OK I thought this was on startup? If it's happening after a while then please attach the emby server log. Thanks.

FYI that really only affects Synology apps like Video Station because of licensing, or apps that don't supply their own codecs. Emby and other 3rd party apps supply their own codecs and this has no effect on them. The only Synology app they supply these codecs for is Surveillance Station and it now has an addon.
