Hi, I've tried emby 4.8.8.0 and 4.9.0.30, both would crash with segfault like above.

Any advice to resolve this? Thanks!

I and several others have updated to DSM 7.2.1 and now 7.2.2 without any problems.

Hi Luke,  it's a DS1821+ with DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5.

A crash may happen a day or more after emby running sometime. I didn't see a time pattern when it crash. The segfault message indicates related to sqlite, but according to https://www.synology.com/en-global/releaseNote/DSM , no sqlite related change since 7.2-64570.

Currently I would like to stay on 7.2.1 as 7.2.2 removes HEVC (H.265), AVC (H.264), and VC-1 codecs, if that is possible.

OK I thought this was on startup? If it's happening after a while then please attach the emby server log. Thanks.

It's related to the following:

FYI that really only affects Synology apps like Video Station because of licensing, or apps that don't supply their own codecs.  Emby and other 3rd party apps supply their own codecs and this has no effect on them.

The only Synology app they supply these codecs for is Surveillance Station and it now has an addon.

Thanks for your info.
