HDR not working

Thanks for the lastest Apple TV update. As a new Premiere user trying to switch from plex I'd like to comment this one regarding HDR playback:

1. If I switch from auto or mpv to native playback in Emby for Apple TV many of my 4k hdr 10 mkv test videos are not working (no stream available).
2.  If I switch to auto or mpv all video content is playing but way to bright
3. If I switch from auto or mpv to native playback and enable both content and bitrate settings (or just the content one) in TVOS setting I can play all of them but they are hardware transcoded and tone mapping (hubble) is used instead of HDR 10 AND audio is totally async (about half a second delay)
4. Doesn't matter if content and bitrate settings in TVOS are enabled or disabled, both plex and infuse are fully working (direct play with enabled and working HDR)
5. New I guess: Sometimes native playback is working but they are hardware transcoded and tone mapping (hubble) is used instead of HDR 10 (audio in sync)

It looks like HDR content isn't working at my side. Tested via Apple TV 4k and a panasonic + samsung 4k TV. Is there anything I can enable or switch to get HDR content fully working on current Apple TV 4k with Emby client?

Weighing in on this as well.

I've had a premium pass for Emby for several years now but not been using it, opting for PLEX for various reasons, but mainly because after we moved I was unable to get any Emby client to see our server. Over the break I moved everything over to a new server machine. Now, the PLEX DVR functionality is becoming very flaky, so I installed Emby on the new machine last night and it is now visible on the LAN as well as remotely. Test recordings on the OTA DVR have worked flawlessly. Great.

Except HDR on the AppleTV app doesn't work.

In my setup, I have the latest AppleTV 4K device. The latest versions of the app, the latest server version, and everything should be at its most recent.

I'm also using a Lumagen Radiance Pro for dynamic tone mapping, so I simply want to send the signal out of the Emby ATV4K app to the Lumagen for handling all the tone mapping, but the Lumagen is reporting an SDR signal, regardless of what setting I use in the Emby Tone Mapping controls.

I don't care if tone mapping works, I just want the correct data passed through to my video processor.

Stop expecting miracles. The dev team have been fighting with this issue for years, yes YEARS. Either abandon the Apple ecosystem and move to Android where everything works, or buy INFUSE. The fact people keep making these types of posts without even doing a simple search or browsing this group just fills this group with garbage posts. Even Jellyfin abandoned their Apple TV app and just wrapped VLC in a container.

If the devs would just say straight out what the issue is and what their timeline is to either fix it or admit its as good as its going to get I think you would see a lot less of these repeated requests.

I personally have moved back to Plex but still tinker with Emby and visit here often as I fundamentally prefer this software and the business model but at the end of the day I need something that works for my family.

"We are looking into it" is great and all and its nice to know the top guy is reading and aware of the issues (your not going to see that on the Plex side of things)  but after years of the same response,  it sort of starts falling on deaf ears.
