Recordings don't stop at set limit

Hello everyone

The following scenario: I record the news from a station every day. This works very well so far. Now I have made the settings so that only 5 episodes should be recorded. If the sixth episode is recorded, the oldest one should be deleted. "Recordings over the limit will be deleted as soon as the next recording starts. The oldest recordings will be removed first." 
The problem is that emby records continuously without sticking to the limit. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong?
