JustEric78 24 Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 I can connect to Emby with both my internal and external IP's however, when I attempt to connect via Connect I receive the error message asking me to try to connect via the IP's and that it is unable to reach my server. I wanted to check to see if anyone else is experiencing this please?
ebr 16184 Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Hi. We are not aware of any issues. Did your external IP change? Try unlinking and re-linking your Connect email with the user.

Try unlinking and re-linking your Connect email with the user. No, nothing has changed. I tried removing connect from my profile, saving it, and adding it back in with the same result. I also removed the server from the Emby connect screen but obviously cannot add it back there as I am getting the same error that it cannot connect. Very strange, I have not changed a thing about my setup and I know at least one other user cannot access my server through connect either so it is not just a problem with my profile. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
ebr 16184 Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Is the WAN address shown on your Emby server dashboard correct?

JustEric78 24 Posted September 3, 2024 Author Posted September 3, 2024 @AbobaderYes, I have been trying a few times a day including this morning.
Abobader 3464 Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I meant now, can you test the connect now, thanks.
JustEric78 24 Posted September 3, 2024 Author Posted September 3, 2024 I just tested before responding which is where that screenshot came from and I just tested it again with the same result.
Solution JustEric78 24 Posted September 3, 2024 Author Solution Posted September 3, 2024 After some testing I found http://app.emby.media/ works just fine when I am incognito so I have no idea why my regular signed in browser does not work even after deleting cookies. Regardless though I think we are good here, thank you for your efforts @ebr @Abobader 1
Abobader 3464 Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Glad to hear it all fine now, well done.

Might it be trying to force https even though you specify http in one case but not the other? That can be an issue these days, but there are browser settings to prevent it. Paul 1
