jmariani 24 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Not sure if this post should be here or in the "Feature request" forum. When creating a new library, this process run for every track. When you have a very large library, this process takes a very long time (days). It would be good if all images are "lazy" loaded, meaning only loaded when needed. And probably using the principle of "extract from file first if present, then from external providers. embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Hi, yes that would be via the image fetchers that you have enabled on the library. Please note that turning this off will result in a lot of tracks not having images.
jmariani 24 Posted September 1, 2024 Author Posted September 1, 2024 So, if I turn off the image fetchers, create the library and then turn on them, Emby will download images only when needed?

Hi, no, nothing will change for content that has already been imported. It will require manual metadata refreshes.
jmariani 24 Posted September 5, 2024 Author Posted September 5, 2024 Got it. I finally reinstalled the server and created a library on an empty folder and will move items as needed. So far it's working. We'll see when the library grows. 1
