Non-admin user with limited libraries/devices can't create collections

The user can see collections with items in the libraries they have access to. But they can't create a new collection or add items to existing collections. They can create playlists and modify shared playlists. I didn't see anything about collections in the Users KB, or vice versa about users in the Collections KB.

Hi, yes this is true. We need to break this out into it's own permission, but as of now only admins can do it.

Creating/modifying collections is an administrator function; not for regular users.

 

Regular users should be creating/using playlists. (with the appropriate permissions granted, those can be shared with other users like collections)

The problem with using playlists is when adding a tv series it adds every episode making the playlist ridiculously long. Would like users to be able to add to or create collections.
