Slow channel change

So using nextpvr and when selecting a channel it takes 10 to 15 seconds to bring the channel up, if i use Kodi with the nextpvr plug in it is pretty much instant, any idea how to fix this? In my opinion this is a big issue.

 

Is emby going to support other tv tuners in the future, I am sure this would make a considerable difference.

Having 'Keep digital tuners primed' in NextPVR generally helps. I generally get 5 or 6 seconds with NextPVR > Emby, but tuning time has been rubbish for years.

Since the OP wrote Kodi was fine, this sounds that setting wont change things.  Emby is always slower than Kodi but this sounds more like a direct play issue which is why the logs are needed.
