emoby0 5 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 (edited) I've got a similar problems to others in this forum with a Samsung TV not being able to play back media from my emby server connected remotely. One difference I've noted is my issue occurs on a simple portforwarded setup directly to the wan IP of the server. I am not using a reverse proxy or anything like that. Connections on Chrome PC, Android and IOS work fine over the remote connection, but on the Samsung I get the "No compatible streams are currently available" Emby server: 4.8.8.0 installed on Docker Emby client 1.8.7 installed via USB Samsung Model: QA65Q7FAMK Samsung Firmware: T-KTMUABC-1401.1, BT-S - confirmed latest as of this date. I originally had a non standard port being used by the setup, but switch to 8096 in hopes to rectify the issue. Toggling transcoding off does not help things. From my cursory look at the logs, it seems as if the transcoding has started but stops? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. Appreciate any help on the matter. ffmpeg-transcode-ade7dbaf-c8dc-4d37-a030-655390b76d4f_1.txt embyserver.txt Edited August 26, 2024 by emoby0 added screenshot as requested
Luke 42077 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Hi, please attach the ffmpeg log as well. The one provided was from playback in Chrome. Thanks.
emoby0 5 Posted August 27, 2024 Author Posted August 27, 2024 Woops, sorry! Here is one from the Samsung. Thanks Luke! ffmpeg-transcode-ec57ab59-c10b-4572-ac4f-d29a38bec70c_1.txt
emoby0 5 Posted August 27, 2024 Author Posted August 27, 2024 I'll note that I have secure connection mode set to disabled currently, and I did not pay forward and if the secured ports. Not sure if Samsung attempts to use those. Based on my reading, using encryption is not always successful.
emoby0 5 Posted August 27, 2024 Author Posted August 27, 2024 Sorry above text should say "I did not port forward any of the secured ports"
Luke 42077 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 @emoby0are you still having an issue with this? Have you tried the latest version of Emby for Samsung?
emoby0 5 Posted October 24, 2024 Author Posted October 24, 2024 Hi Luke, sorry I am not able to access that TV at the moment. I can try to update it the next time I'm there. If anybody else has a Samsung tv accessing emby over http it would be great to hear from you. 1
