DV direct playing on old FTVS

Hi guys,

my sister is using an older FTVS (2.gen I think) so definitely not DV/HDR capable but for some reason it is direct playing a file:

I would expect it to tone map the file for playback compatibility, just like it is doing when I reduce quality on my Shield.
Not quite sure what could be going wrong. Any hint?

Edit: Btw... can the new Android app be sideloaded to FTVS? Is the old FTVS performance-wise capable of running the new app?

Hi.  That appears to be a really old version of the Fire TV app.  You should try updating it or just installing the one called just "Emby" from the Amazon store.

Oh didn't notice that, I had it set up to auto-update so assumed it was on the latest version. Will have a look at either updating or getting the new app onto it.

Updating solved it, thanks for the hint.
