BBC Casualty Season numbers incorrect

Has anyone else noticed the complete mess the series numbers of Casualty have got into?

Current series;

BBC = S43 E09 last night 24/08/24

Emby TV Schedule = S38 and have the episode numbers wrong as well

TVDB = S41 & correct episode number

Emby metadata = S41 (from TVDB I assume) & correct episode number

IMDB = S39 and have the episode numbers wrong as well

Wikipedia = S39 and have the episode numbers wrong as well

Most if not all indexers have got it wrong as well. I use Get_iPlayer to download Casualty on Saturday mornings as it's available from 06:00 and it's a right pain to have to rename it everytime.

I cannot say for that particular show, but I have found the same things happening on some of my shows. And it is due to the indexers that emby scrapes, not emby itself. The problem with the scrapers , is that you have to set it up per library and cannot select an alternate scraper per show. For example: if I have the scraper set up for TVDB for my TV library, and I find most of the shows accurate but have 1 or two that are only accurate from themoviedb , I cannot force that show to grab the alternate and continue to grab that alternate. I can "fix" it by manually identifying the show and have emby replace the content for that pass - but the next episode that comes out will not be in there properly because it's grabbing data from the scraper I have set up for tv shows in the library. 

In your case, if all the index sites are wrong - you are going to have to manually enter the information in as the episodes come in. Pain in the butt, but until the index sites fix their problems - it's the only way to fix yours.

I do import it it manually for this show as I have to download it manually using Get_iPlayer as my wife likes to watch it early evening before the actual broadcast time  evrything else I let my automation rename and it seems to work fine for nearly everything. If I could persuade SWMBO to watch Casualty on a Sunday instead of a Saturday I wouldn't have to do the dance  but it's worth it for the brownie points

I just find it strange that a couple of seasons ago almost everyone ignored the BBC's episode and season numbers that they had followed for the previous 30+ seasons. A collective brain fart I guess 

I really couldn't care less what season or episode it is just that I can watch it in order
