Bug with standard Android app on Shield Pro

Quite often, after watching a tv show or listening to music, I cannot get back to the main menu (or Home i guess it is) by just hitting the back button. Hitting the back button just keeps showing the vertical side menu. I then can select "home" from the menu, of course.

Sometimes though, this menu is totally empty and I have to quit the app and restart it. This happens more often when listening to music.

I am using the standard Android app and update it manually every time there is a new build out.

I have seen this reported a few times by other users but have yet to experience it myself.

What version are you currently using?

3.4.20 according to the app settings

Hi, what has focus with the remote when you are doing this?

I'm not sure but normally the remote's dpad left press will open the side menu but what seems to happen is the back button is doing what the left dpad button should do. 

it's like the the back button loses its functionality and does what left dpad should do.

I will have to wait until it happens again and video it but the focus is just the page I was on...i can move around the page but hitting back button just brings up the menu on the side and will not go back to home.

When it happens with the music player I can not get back to the track listing and an empty side menu bar appears when pressing the back button.
