pwhodges 2012 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 That's an SSA/ASS style, and belongs in the heading section of an SSA or ASS subtitle file. Emby can't use it in any other context. To edit SSA subtitles you can use Aegisub or Subtitle Edit. Paul
abdullah339 2 Posted August 25, 2024 Author Posted August 25, 2024 What about using css styles that mimic the styles I provided? Is there an option to customize the css for the subtitle? @pwhodges
pwhodges 2012 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 The CSS options is for the web interface; the video player is a single unit in that interface and handles the subtitles itself, without any CSS involvement. Paul
abdullah339 2 Posted August 25, 2024 Author Posted August 25, 2024 @pwhodges Not true, you can customize how the style will look through the control panel in the translation section, font size and shadow.. but the options are limited, I think I can add more styles
pwhodges 2012 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Minimal formatting is available for SRT subtitles in most players, but that is not CSS. Paul
Luke 42079 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 @abdullah339what he's saying about ass/ssa subtitles is right. Does that answer your question?
abdullah339 2 Posted August 26, 2024 Author Posted August 26, 2024 What I want to know is the CSS class for the sutbtitle format so that I can customize the shadow, colors and borders. @pwhodges@Luke

abdullah339 2 Posted August 26, 2024 Author Posted August 26, 2024 (edited) I will not use ass/ssa in css @Luke I will use css to customize the sutbtitle style I want the subtitle display class so I can add automatic css customization to it Edited August 26, 2024 by abdullah339
Luke 42079 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 OK the best thing to do is play some srt subtitles in the web browser and then use the browser debugger to examine the elements. This will allow you see the element structure and class names.
