Moving Emby server to a new computer + seeing server history

So I had several problems with my computer and I was in the process of buying a new one, and in the events of it all one of my main hard drives where I keep my media for the Emby server just died, so 2TB of media went and still haven't been able to recover it.

I just bought a new computer and installed Emby but couldn't be able to restore the history from my old Emby server. My question is if there is any convenient way to do it, since in the new computer its all different paths, although I moved some of the hard drives from the old PC to the new one. I can still log in from the old computer to the old server, cause when I installed on the new PC I had no option to restore or log in to an existing user, so It just started a new server. The question is if I can see the history of media from the Emby server like from the old PC so I would know at least what is the media that got lost with the hard drive that died?

I managed to log in to the old server from the old PC but It just shows a few movies from the dead hard drive, but most of the media that was just got all the metadata deleted also, so the question is if I can somehow see the metadata history of movies and shows that were added to the library before? So I would know what was lost and download it all over to the new PC.

You could probably pull the log files from the old server and search line-by-line for 'removing metadata for item x' or similar.

It'll be quite tedious, but should give you a list of each item that was lost with the dead drive.

Getting into the logs of the old server, that's the only things that are shown to me, only specific data for the last few days, but I can't seem to find inside any info about the old metadata that was on the server from the files that were on the dead drive.

Any idea how can I can access older logs?

All you'll have is what's in the logs directory of the servers data folders, if you haven't made prior backups of that data. Pretty sure emby only keeps 4-5 days of logs before deleting them.

Couldn't find a way to restore anything. On the new PC it just didn't give me any options to restore, just pick a name for the user and opened up a new server on my new PC

Have you checked out the Backup & Restore section?

Unless you have a backup from before the hdd failure the db has already been purged and you only have the logs within the log folder that get removed when 3 days old.

As for Restoring from one to the other you would have to have backups from Old and point New the same backup folder via the plugin.  Or manual copy old install to new primarily the Emby programdata folder.  But all library paths with have to be removed/updated.
