Menu displáy takes almost a minute to show.

Do you have a large library?  How big is Emby's library.db?

May need to change the default cache size.

Yes the default cache size will be extremely restrictive on a db that size.

That worked, for a while. Now I'm getting "Response 500".

Don't think I have seen that before for all requests.  Have you tried restarting the machine?

I know the cache size should have nothing to do with what looks like a 500 response to a specific ip address (xxx.xxx.x.90).  Does it happen to other clients?

500 happens when connecting from another machine within my LAN. If ran from the server, works Ok

Is it all local clients that try to comment to the server?

Don't know macos but almost sound like a firewall issue.
