Testing some more, navigation is actually worse than it was before. Forgetting the FF button, when I navigate right using the direction button I now get a spinning blue circle for a couple of seconds and it may, or may not, speed forwards. Sometimes additional clicks speed things up, sometimes nothing happens at all. It's easily the worst aspect of an otherwise brilliant application.

Holding down the left/right button doesn't do anything. I'm sure they worked better before the update. Only short presses appear to trigger quick navigation, with additional short presses increasing or decreasing the speed (after the spinning blue circle has disappeared).

This sounds like the expected behaviour. Briefly holding down left/right triggers a slow seek, then each press of the left/right arrow prgresses to 2x ,3x then 4x speed. It changed to this maybe one or two releases ago. To be honest, I preferred the older behaviour where it was possible to manually move the position slider then 'jump' to the selected location as even 4x can be very slow if you want to jump a long way ahead.

That would be fine if it wasn't for the spinning blue wheel of doom that accompanied it... 1

Luke 42077 Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 One thing that is relatively new is that when the player signals that it's waiting for data, then we should the loading spinner. That could be what is happening.
