HairyBizRat 21 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 hi I had to do a fresh OS install on my server, i am an Emby Preimere subscriber, i did a backup. but when i open backup/restore plugin there is no option to restore, see iumage. What am i doing wrong here?
tedfroop21 86 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 See near the top where it says BACKUP FOLDER. If you put your backup file in that directory, the restore option should appear. You may need to restart the server once you copy the files for the option to show up.

Happy2Play 9781 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 You need to change to the Backups folder not the embyserver-full-backup. But either way has your backup correct?
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 If you see the backup you created at the bottom of the screen when you access the backup option from the bottom of the settings page then all you need to do is double click it and the restore action will commence after a couple of popups asking for confirmation.

Solution Happy2Play 9781 Posted August 23, 2024 Solution Posted August 23, 2024 You point the plugin to your backups folder not the actual backup. 1
HairyBizRat 21 Posted August 23, 2024 Author Posted August 23, 2024 thanks, my bad. I thought i pointed it to the backup folder of the backup, not the parent folder. that worked
HairyBizRat 21 Posted August 23, 2024 Author Posted August 23, 2024 (edited) @Happy2Playhow long does a restore normally take? There is no progress indicator just a spinning wheel. nevermind - it just popped up and restarted Thanks for the help Edited August 23, 2024 by HairyBizRat 1
