All I can do is play an episode and check the TVShow order. Here it's correct so must be something specific. Edited May 6, 2025 by quickmic
IshimaruKenta 3 Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Seems I was going in the wrong place. I was just going into TV Shows, seeing In Progress TV Shows and selecting from there. I did not go through the plugin and manually selecting it like you've stated. Since I'm using Arctic Fuse 2, I'll have to ask them about that, as it shows correctly in the way you've stated. This is the same for my other problem (just using the skin's feature for Movies or TV and not going into the plugin), looking at the plugin (via the way you showed), it works as intended. Using the default Movies/TV Shows option in the skin, does doesn't always update. I'll take to them about it. Thank you for your help and your time and sorry to waste it. 1

LongMan 112 Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Before I upgrade, can someone say if the smart playlist plugin works with 4.9 beta?

The plugin's custom nodes have the prefix "EMBY:" so should be easy to find when you customize your skin. Don't modify a sortorder when you add the custom nodes, this would overwrite the nodes order. Which server version? I tested with 4.9.X and works here. Can you please upload a kodi.log after musicvideo sync. Edited May 8, 2025 by quickmic
quickmic 1703 Posted May 8, 2025 Author Posted May 8, 2025 Transcoding might not work when plugin's path substitution is enabled. Seems Kodi with newer ffmpeg version no longer respects the mime-type/file extension for hls with the path-substitution hack.
polo2907 2 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Hello Thank you for your work. In Emby, I take into account the articles (the, a,le,la un,une ) when sorting my movies and series. How do I configure EmbyforKodi (next-gen) so that this is taken into account in Kodi? Currently, this is not the case. Emby 4.8.11 EmbyforKodi (next-gen) 11.1.27 Thank you in advance. Sorry for the English, I'm using Google Translate.

quickmic 1703 Posted May 8, 2025 Author Posted May 8, 2025 Just now, polo2907 said: like this That's the problem. "titre de tri" is used as sort order. You must fix it on Emby side. -> "Les Quatre Saisons" should be "Quatre Saisons"
polo2907 2 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 it's not possible to use "les" ? because I prefer "Les quatre saisons" to be referenced with "les" rather than with "quatre" I don't know if I'm expressing myself correctly. In any case, thank you for these very quick responses.

In any case, thank you for these very quick responses. "les" will be visible in the view list. Remove the "les" ONLY in "titre de tri". That's the sort order, the title is still "Les quatre saisons". Simply try it.
polo2907 2 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 If I delete "the" or "les" this is what I have in emby
quickmic 1703 Posted May 8, 2025 Author Posted May 8, 2025 2 minutes ago, polo2907 said: If I delete "the" or "les" this is what I have in emby Looks ok, now Kodi should be fine too. "Les Quatre Saisons" is now sorted alphabetically by "Q" and no longer by "L".
polo2907 2 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 But I prefer it this way and whether it's one way or the other, nothing changes in codi

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Then re-add the article. Not sure why Kodi does not respect that, it should.
polo2907 2 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Yes, that's exactly it. I want the sorting to be done by "L" and no longer by "Q." I know how to do it in Emby, but I can't do it in Kodi. Perhaps there's a setting in Emby for Kodi (next-gen) 11.1.27 or in Kodi?
FrostByte 5392 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Is this what you're looking for? I think the default is on. https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Media/General#Ignore_articles_when_sorting You can add more articles in advanced settings file also 1
polo2907 2 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Thank you so much, I've been looking for this for so long. It was actually the second line that needed to be unchecked "Ignore articles when sorting" Thank you both @quickmic @FrostByte 2
jonomite 29 Posted May 18, 2025 Posted May 18, 2025 Greetings! I am in need of some tech support! The problem I am experiencing is videos will play fine from my emby server for about 20-30 minutes. Then, the stream will just stall and eventually I get kicked back to the Kodi menu. I can restart the video fine from there, and then, 20-30 minutes later, it just happens again. Rinse, recycle, repeat. I've troubleshooted so many different solutions. I'm quite certain it is not a network issue as I've tested playback on non Kodi-devices without any issues. I'm really at my wits end. I have attached my kodi log in the hopes that it is helpful in identifying what is going on. The most I can see is that at some point there does appear to be a "stream stalled" error, but I just don't know what to do with this. Any help is much appreciated. kodi.log

Increasing Kodi's video cache will also help.
