I think multi-version is now being detected as I have an icon in the bottom left of the cover art select that gave me the clue it should be there. Also I did not realize Kodi has a new behavior where you have to "hold" select to bring up the context menu that shows "Choose version". Apologies for the misunderstanding of the feature.

Any way to get IMDB ratings to work while using next gen plugin?

 I’ve tried 100s of different things and the closest I’ve come is using Tiny Media Manager to write the nfo files. But in every skin I’ve tried it just shows as a user rating. If I generate nfo files with both TMDB and IMDB ratings (in TMM) it will show the IMDB rating as user rating but shows the TMDB correctly. Is there some combination of settings/skin/procedures/media manager or tricks to get Kodi to show IMDB rating? I’ve searched and read every forum post etc. I could find but just can’t get it to work. Any help greatly appreciated!

I was happily running CoreElec on Dune Homartics, and the Emby Next Gen via Kodi.emby.tv repository. Then some changes were made to CoreElec dailies, Nextgen stopped working and Embruary skin was no longer available.

Since I’ve had a couple of goes trying to set everything back up via full Kodi reset, using this latest Public Beta.

The issue is I can’t get any of my ISO.s to play after NextGen has been installed, select native paths, and completed indexes.When I try to play an episode the link to the ISO instead prompts that the file is no longe4 there, and do I want to remove the entry. If I go through file manager I can access the iso via the correct path and the ISO plays back fine. Using an Emby app on windows , iOS or Android also works, it’s just under CoreElec and these newest NextGen builds, that the playback doesn’t work from the indexed film and Tv episode walls.

Anything I can try to see where the issue lies?

I assume the CoreElec dailies uses Kodi 22 alpha? Can you please upload a kodi.log after you tried playing an iso.

I run a test on my setup and seems working on my setup.

Did you enable xsp playlists in the plugin settings?

Does this playlist file exists -> special://profile/playlists/video/emby_movies_Movies.xsp -> should be located in Kodi's userdata folder.

Please upload a xsp for review.

Probably generate a new log in debug mode and add all component specific logs. (Kodi logging settings).

I checked both window 10 Kodi 12 and LE 13 E4K I can not find xsp option in the plugin under which sub menu do I find it

Do you mean smart playlist?  this option is check on both windows and LE, however, I am able to generate smart shortcuts in Titan for Windows, but not for LE

both LE & Windows has user data folder > playlist > video inside are list of my shortcuts from emby  each category has .xsp at the end also xsp and file type

Please enable the extra logging options and upload a new log. Currently I down know why LE thinks the file is corrupt.

Debug log must be also enabled. (in the screenshot it's disabled).

Not a next-gen issue

if you wanna fix it yourself, edit the ../addons/script.skin.helper.backgrounds/resources/lib/smartshortcuts.py

replace:

"for line in xmldata.getiterator():"

with:

"for line in xmldata.iter():"

Probably there are more issues in this helper, that's why I recommend not using any helpers at all. They are often broken/poorly supported and cause problems.

@Quickmic Thanks your  proposed changes resolved the issue, however, each category it ought to have submenu, such newly added, progress watch, Genre etc, 

Please what changes do think can  be made for the skin to include these sub menu as this was working in the previous skin/emby4kodi versions

Well, I don't know this this but I'm quite sure is it fully customizable. As mentioned, I would avoid all this implemented helper-features and only use the next-gen plugin nodes. I'll have a look into that in the next days next days but don't expect too much from me. I don't know what you expect from the skin.

I have added the sub menu manually, but it would have been nice if its auto populated which what it used to be

Sorry, no issue.

I have just tried emby-next-gen v11.1.22 with Kodi (22.0-ALPHA1 (21.90.700) Git:76a6ee8e634cf96c06473630721f91aa38fb9d86). Platform: Linux ARM 64-bit and it works perfectly. It wasn't working with emby-next-gen v11.1.10.

Seems Emby's kodi repo has not updated the fixed version. Meanwhile you can install it from the public testing folder.

There is no need for downloading.

Public testing version can be installed directly via Kodi's filebrowser (via kodi.emby.tv) and is usually the fastest way to updated versions.
