11.1.6 is now pushed to Emby's Kodi beta repository.

Keep in mind, the repo structure has changed a couple of month ago and probably a new repo installation may be required.

You can download the repo here:

I've problem under Kodi 22 witch installed fresh on my odroid c2. Direct play works. But I need transcoding because c2 has some glitches... I installed last beta and force transcode on hevc and av1 and I can't play anything with transcode. I tried stable emby for kodi... the same... tried older beta... the same...

In kodi log i get:

2024-11-29 11:55:54.412 T:7998    error <general>: CCurlFile::Open - <http://127.0.0.1:57342/movies/4303e0ff314f4285949057729c766f76/36/> Failed with code 404:

How can I fix it?

This is not the problem. Please post a full log.

Could be also an issue on Emby server side, actually I think it's not a plugin problem.

Check your server logs too.

Dynamic nodes barley tested!

I've installed the latest version and noticed that Deleting files from Dynamic nodes is no longer working.  After selecting "EMBY: Delete Item" from the context menu, instead of being prompted to confirm the deletion, the context menu just closes.

Let me know if you require a log file to debug further.

@quickmic I have a good one for you.

if I have a movie with multiple version’s Kodi doesn’t see the extras  or the local  movie trailer.

If there is no multiple version of the movie Kodi sees the extras and  the local movie trailer.

I just checked, and I can see both. Is there a pattern, when extras or trailer are missing?

Native mode?

I'm using default mode. The only time I don't see extras or local trailers is when there are multiple versions of the movie in the movie folder. I also noticed it might be the same way in Emby, which might be an Emby issue.

Then it's not a plugin issue.

Did you group the versions manually? If yes, that might be the issue.

I did group them. What is the proper way.

Let Emby do it for you. The filenaming must be modified.

Subfolder name must be equal as (base)filename and the string after the dash is the subversion ID.

No other dashes are allowed in the filename!. Dash is the separator!

After that, trigger a rescan on Emby and it will be grouped automatically including extras and trailers.

Put local trailer under specials or in the subfolder -> The Hunt for Red October (1990)-trailer.mp4.

Maybe The Hunt for Red October (1990) - trailer.mp4 works to, but not tested. When I have it in the subfolder, I use "-" not " - " for trailer.

Also other filenaming might work too, but I know for sure, my naming works.

This might be/probably is a skin issue (Arctic Zephyr Reloaded)?  I'm not sure because this is first movie I've added multiple versions for and I don't know how multiple versions should work in Kodi+E4K.  If playing direct from the library list, I do get a version picker dialog, there's no metadata though the versions are in the same order as other clients, 4K first.  Choose version is also available in the item's context menu.  From the movie detail screen, it defaults to the 4K version with no way to change it, including in the "Manage" menu.

Kodi 21.1, Emby 4.8.10.0, E4K 11.1.8 in add-on mode.  Did a factory reset when moving from 11.1.5 to beta 11.1.8.

In my skin there is an option to change the default version in the info screen -> versions.

In plugin's config menu -> sync -> there is an option "Set highest video resolution as default". If you disable, it will be the same order as Emby server lists the versions.

I updated to 11.1.8 and tried deleting files from dynamic nodes but still experiencing the same behavior with nothing happening after selecting "EMBY: Delete Item"

In case it's useful to you, I've also attached the full debug log this time.

Interesting, how do you access the dynamic nodes? Are they embedded in your Kodi skin in some way?

Addon or native mode?

In the case of this log file, I navigated from the Add-on menu, selecting Emby Video add on -> Dynamic Nodes -> [MyRootFolder]->Folder, then I navigate around my content from there.

My typical use case is accessing the Dynamic nodes from a skin shortcut, but I thought I'd test this first.

I am in Addon mode (assuming that's the default)
