Specify the movie edition included in collections and playlists

For example, the Alien Anthology box set has a Special Edition of each film. Unfortunately not each special edition release is present on themoviedb.org or imdb.com. So I have the editions stacked as one item in my Movies library, and when playing an individual movie. I would like to have separate collections for each edition. Doing so with playlists would be an acceptable temporary solution, but collections would be preferred.

I'd like separate collections for the two editions. I have 4 Alien films in a collection, and they all have both Theatrical and Special edition versions. I'm guessing that to play the Special edition of each back to back I have first go to each one and set that version, and then play the collection. Maybe if each movie in a collection has the same set of version names, we could get a version combobox on the collection page.
