Playback pausing frequently even with DirectPlay

I'm running Emby 4.8.8.0 via the Synology package on a DS418play (Celeron J3355 with iGPU, 6G memory). My home network is WiFi 6 mesh with two of the three APs connected via 2.5 Gbps ethernet. The NAS is connected to a wired AP with 1 Gbps ethernet.

I'm finding that my Blu-ray rips (1080p, no 4k) just will not play without frequent and lengthy pauses. The files are generally MKV with multiple audio tracks such as DTS HD, DTS, and AC3 5.1. Some have AC3 stereo for commentary but even then it happens. Even just the UI can be rather laggy, like in the 10s of seconds for things like Continue Watching and Latest Movies to be rendered on the home screen. It's happening on Android (Pixel 7 Pro), Android TV (ChromeCast with GoogleTV both standalone dongle and as the TCL TV platform), and Emby Theater Windows app (Surface Pro 9). I have a bunch of log files and some "nerd stats" screenshots. Can I private message that to support? I have a Premiere subscription but don't see any separate support channel, just this forum.

I don't generally have these performance issues, on any of the same clients with Plex running on the same NAS. But recent internet outages have me scrambling to migrate to a different platform.

I think my issue was too many clients (including all the devices I was testing Emby apps) on the one AP that doesn't have a wired backhaul. Testing apps on devices connected to the same wired AP as the NAS playback was good. I rebooted the one wireless AP and playback through that one is looking smooth now too. Looks like I have some wall fishing to do to wire that last AP.
