Android App Experience on TV

Hi,

I've been a long time user of the Android TV app on my Sony Bravia TV, but you seem to suggest using the standard Android app now instead, as it's the one getting the new features.

I have tried it, and whilst it is certainly more feature rich, the UX of the standard app is light years behind the Android TV app.

There are no focus animations and no smooth list scrolling. Just a focus rectangle, jerky scrolling and pop-ups that take ages to populate.

In fact, it feels like I'm using a cheap web app.

If your focus is now the standard app, are there any plans to improve the UX, because it is so much worse than the Android TV version?

The TV was made in 2019.
