Support for HEIC-Format

Unfortunately, my iPhone photos in HEIC format are not displayed on the emby server.

It would be very nice if this could be realized.

HEIC support has been added in server 4.8+. Might be related to file naming: how are your images named?

And do you have any other files in addition to image files?

The .heic file is not added to my Emby photo library after a media folder scan. If I change the name of the .heic to e.g. IMG_2200 - embyTest.HEIC and rescan the file appears as expected.

I meant named same/similarly as image files, as per linked topic. Devs might wanna see server log from the time of import.

Many HEIC files are displayed, but many are not.

This is a great pity, as Emby makes no sense to me.

Although Emby is otherwise great.

What can I do?

Broken image placeholders will show errors in the log as the db is looking for something it can't find usually.

My guess will be issue with Emby not really liking smb paths.  But the image processor doesn't think the images exist.

example error loading file as image processor say does not exist almost 25000 times.
