Moving the Emby server installation

How hard is it to move an Emby installation from the installing users roaming profile to a fixed place on the OS drive like C:\Programs?

Is this not advisable for some reason?  Is there a way to get it to install itself in a general location rather than a specific users profile space?

A move like that should be seamless as no library paths change.

There is no path selection for the installer.  The portable version you place where you like.  But in your case you can just relocate the entire Emby-Server folder to its new home.

Only thing you will have to verify would be the Firewall per the new location.

That's great.  I'm moving to updated server hardware and it always bugged me that it installed in that odd place.  I'll move it and bring it back up, then do the restore of the other one's backup.  My media paths are all remote so I will really only have to move the metadata directory from the older one.
