Serpeal79 0 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 (edited) I just installed emby this morning, added a server, tried to cast to my TV (with chromecast) and everything worked (audio and video) inmediately. I've tried again this evening and just video worked, no audio was played in the TV. Any other cast app (Netflix, Disney....) works both with audio + video. I have payed 5,99€ for unblocking the app. I've logged out several times. I've deleted several times the server and the app from my phone. No way to get sound back. I'm just updating to IOS 17.6.1 to see if this helps. Emby for iOS 2.2.28. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Edited August 20, 2024 by Serpeal79 Added ios and emby version data

I've been investigating a little more and I've discovered that I can play videos which sound is just "stereo". It seems that the problem is with videos with "5.1". For example, now I can play Street Sharks (attached photo) which audio is "Spanish AAC stereo", but I can't play Un rey supermono, which sound is "Spanish EAC3 5.1". The thing is that yesterday I could play Jumanji, which sound is "Spanish DTS 5.1", but now I can't play it anymore. I have a Google Chromecast 1st generation and I'm casting everything from my Iphone XR. I have reseted the Chromecast, deleted many times EMBY and reinstalled and deleted the server and added again. There's no way to play 5.1 sounds anymore. Is there anything that I can do? Thanks in advance.

They may have restricted your access to server transcoding which is what is needed to convert unsupported formats to something that is supported.
