Videos Won't Start

Something happened before I updated the WebOS app, because emby won't play any video through the TV app, no matter what I start. From other devices like phone or browser, even xbox the playback works. I have configured, turned on and off hardware decoding. I tried a clean install, nothing worked so far. I don't know what the problem is, it just won't play the videos.
The symptom is....
I start the WebOS app, select the profile, select a movie or a series, go to the data page, select play, and then nothing else appears on the screen except the loading screen.  I also tried turning the quality down , but that didn't help either, still the videos won't start.

Thanks for providing the logs and reporting the issue

I am seeing a transcode process start after the LG Emby App requests the first video segment and then after 10 seconds the app asks for the segment again and the transcoder process fails and exits at that point

Example of a logged error

09:04:23.319 [matroska, webm @ 0000021fd2afd340] Could not find codec parameters for stream 8 (Subtitle: hdmv_pgs_subtitle (pgssub)): unspecified size
Consider increasing the value for the 'analyzeduration' (0) and 'probesize' (5000000) options

Could you try the following

- remove the server advanced Diagnostic Options for now - go to Plugins in server settings view and under Advanced open the Plugins and locate the installed Diagnostics Plugin and Uninstall it

The diagnostic option was referenced in the ffmpeg log here

Warning: Hardware-accelerated subtitle-overlay is disabled due to diagnostic option

- add debug logging to the server logs settings

- restart the server

- Do a test with one the mkv's that you tried before

- if problems persist, try without selecting any subtitles

- if problems persist, whilst trying to playback and having the issue, copy out the following folder on the server to a temp area

"C:\Users\morty\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\transcoding-temp"

and get the server logs and let me have the logs and zipped copy of the transcoding temp directory

Please let me know the details of the playback attempts

video title, time and which one you tried without subtitles
