I've been using Emby for a couple years now and it's been working fine until a couple days ago.  I don't know of anything that changed, but when I try to click on any movie in my collection using the web app I get a "Content no longer available" error.  The same thing happens for my home videos.  For TV shows I am able to get into the shows to try to play an episode, but I get a "Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available" error.  My music and photos seem to work fine.  I tried removing my movie library and adding it back in and it scans everything correctly, but I can't try to play them.  The relevant errors are at the end of the log.  Any help would be much appreciated.  embyserver.txt

Hi, are you able to update to Emby Server 4.8 and see how things compare?

I tried to do that today, but that would require me to update my NAS and it's already at the latest version.

Why would it require updating the nas?

The installer is available, but installing it requires a DSM update on my NAS.  I think my NAS is too old to be updated further so going to the latest version of Emby is not an option.

Hi, what installer are you referring to? What makes you think it requires updating DSM?

I downloaded the correct Emby Server package for my NAS (emby-server-synology72-mono_4.8.8.0_armv7_legacy.spk) and when I try to install it I get the attached message.  I tried to update my NAS and it says it's up to date and if I go to the Synology download center for my NAS (https://www.synology.com/en-global/support/download/DS414?version=7.1#system), it shows that I already have the latest version (7.1.1-42962).  I don't think there is a way for me to install Emby Server 4.8.

Hi, you downloaded the package for DSM 7.2 but we also have a package for DSM 7.0.

Sorry but you do not have this version installed emby-server-synology72-mono_4.8.8.0_armv7_legacy.spk

You have emby-server-synology7-mono_{version}_armadaxp.spk and would need the version I linked.

Doesn't the package center automatically show the correct update?

No, installing Emby Server is a manual process so the package center doesn't help with knowing which update to install.  Thanks for pointing out the version for DSM 7.0.  When I go to the link for DSM 7.0 (https://emby.media/synology7-server.html), there is no link for the armadaxp version.  How would I find that if you didn't provide the link?

I did install the new version from the link provided and it seems to have fixed the problem with movies and TV shows, but I still get the "Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available" error when trying to play home videos.  I attached my latest server log.

I was wondering where you got that version also as I don't see it on the Download page @Luke  Luke why is the browser/web app still reporting 4.7.14.0 is it just the browser cache?

But you can see all the assets on GitHub per release.

Release 4.8.8.0 · MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases (github.com)

Please post the ffmpeg log also.

Devs will have to comment but looks similar to this topic so it might be specific to this platform/mono legacy.

[q] command received. Exiting.

Where do we go from here?  Is there any way to get the home videos to play?  Surprisingly they play on the Emby app on my nVidia Shield but not on my PC.

Any idea why everything stopped working all of a sudden with the old version and the new one fixed it?

You can use the second armv7 package. The one that says armv7 (other).

We did recently resolve an issue with older armv7 devices. You may need to use the 4.9 beta channel in order to get that immediately.

Ok.  I'll probably wait until an official version comes out since it's not critical.  Thanks for the assistance.
