How to stream to a Fire TV Cube?

I have Emby server on my Windows 10 PC, the Emby app installed on my Fire TV Cube Gen.3.

I can access every music or movie on the Fire TV Cube. So far, so good.

My problem is that I don´t want to switch on my TV in order to listen to music from the Emby server. I´d like to switch on my Android phone or tablet, choose the music (or movie) on that Android device and play it on my Fire TV Cube.
Unfortunately the Fire TV Cube is not listed as connectable device on my Android devices.

Is that a limitation or did I do something wrong?

Just install Emby apps on your other devices and connect them to the server.

Could you be a bit more specific?
I want to play music from my Fire TV Cube, but not have to use my TV. I want to use my Android phone or tablet, choose the music (or movie) on that Android device and play it on my Fire TV Cube. Emby is, of course, installed on my Android devices.

Hi.  You can only cast to our apps if they are running.  When you switch off your TV, it probably puts the Cube to sleep.

No, it doesn´t put the Cube to sleep.

Anyway, just for testing purpose, I can let the TV switched on and still the Android app doesn´t "find" the Cube`s Emby app to play on it.

Okay, I got it.
The thing I didn´t know is that the Emby app on the cube has to be started manually in order for the Android app to find the Cube.
So I have started Emby manually on the Cube and then my Android device "found" it and I could play the music without having to keep the TV on. Great!
