Smoother transitioning between episodes

When I select to play episodes continuously, via either my LG TV or Android phone, there's a slight "hiccup" between episodes when Emby returns to the menu screen for a split second before playing the next episode.  Would it be possible to smooth this over, so that one episode ends, there's a blank screen, and then the next episode begins?  Thank you!

I haven't tested it with other apps, but it definitely happens on both the LG TV app and the app on my Samsung S21 Android smartphone - running the latest version of Emby off of my Synology NAS.

Hi - I've just tested it on today's updated software but it's just the same unfortunately.

What do you mean by menu screen?

I mean the page from which I originally selected the episode. The screen that would appear next if I'd chosen not to auto-play the next episode. It's hard to see exactly what's on it, because it appears and disappears to quickly, but it appears to be that.

This wouldn't have anything to do with playing music videos where it puts up stills of the musicians between videos ?

No, it's not that. It's happening between TV episodes.

Just to re-clarify what I meant above by "menu screen", I've checked this again and it's basically displaying the "background" image for a brief second, with no text or anything over the top of it.

Okay, so it isn't going back - this is the standard behavior of showing an item's background while loading.

Ah, okay, that makes sense - though a blank screen would be less "clunky" when transitioning between episodes...
