So, Recently released movies on the web client displays movies that I've already watched (as noted by the red check mark), while on the Android TV client those watched items disappear.  Is this behavior intended/intentional?  I would actually prefer if the watched items displayed in that particular section.  This way it distinguishes itself from the "Latest Movies" section (I use Time Lord, and will stop using it due to my finding the "Recently Released" category in the settings).

If you have the option selected to hide watched items from home screen sections, then they are hidden from this as well in the TV app.

If you don't wish it to do that, you can use the standard app which ignores that option in this case.

So the client has an option that the web client does not?  As this option currently does not exist for this row.

In the webapp the selection is "Hide played media from" and the 3 options are "Latest Media", "More Like This", and "Suggestions" and so because I only have the first one checked it removes them from the "Latest Movies", but leaves the watched items in the "Recently Released".  This is the preferred functionality for me.  In the Android TV App there is only 1 checkbox and it's "Hide Watched Content from Latest Media"  which I have checked, because I don't want to see watched content in "Latest Media", but I do want to see it in "Recently Released"  which is completely different.

There are technically two apps in the store Android TV and Android.  Eventually the Android app will be unified and replace the Android TV app but you may want to look at the may topics about that on the forum.

Hmm...  I may have to check and see which one I actually have then.  When I searched for it and installed it, it was the only one available, but this was years ago...  Since it is different from the app on my phone though, I will say it's probably the Android TV app...

Just search for Emby and you should see "Emby for Android" and "Emby for Android TV".

Yep, I found it.  I was indeed using the Emby for Android TV app, I switched to the Emby for Android App, and now it functions the way I wanted, which is the same way the Web App functions.
