drapacioli 8 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 (edited) I have a few series with a random episode or two out of order, but recently I had the worst example by far. Trying to add Pokemon Horizons and while some episodes have actual names and titles with them, a lot are just named "episode 6" or whatever. No big deal, right? I load up my files in filebot and I set it to match the aniDB naming using ID 17777, which is the same thing I do inside the Emby library, Identify with the exact aniDB ID. Except, they're all ordering based on what has an episode name first, THEN by episode number, example 1-5, 7, 9-11, etc., which have names, then after that episode 6, 8, 12, etc., without names. Why is Emby doing this? The episode numbers and names clearly match the DB I used to identify the metadata with, but while that metadata lacks some episode titles, it still shows them in the correct order on the aniDB page and I would expect the same on Emby's side. Am I supposed to make up episode titles so it sorts things properly, or change the naming pattern? These are the way the files are named: Edited August 17, 2024 by drapacioli

Yes, you should use one of the supported naming conventions. Episode naming conventions
Happy2Play 9781 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 I see you appear to have season folder slightly cut off in image but yes that episode naming scheme is supported but primarily used for Absolute number display order. At the same time not entirely familiar with the AniDB plugin.
Luke 42079 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Hi, can you show us how they look in Emby? Thanks !
