Backdrop screensaver alignment

Hi,
Just had the backdrop screensaver come up, and had two simple questions:

1) Is the alignment here is intentional? It's not fitting to the screen

2) Are we supposed to see checkmarks if the content is viewed? It kind of takes away from the image, is there any configuration/control we have over this?

Just grabbed a new one. it’s just ever so slightly off it seems. kind of odd to see the number in the top right as well.
