justinrh 260 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Android TV on Shield, I have an MP3 and an OGG live stream URL (https://stream.berean-biblechurch.org/live.oga) configured in IPTV. I click play then a spinner shows for 1 second and that's it, nothing changes, nothing plays. I send an app log at 7:00pm CST user home. Server log attached. No, I did not try the standard app. Oddly, it plays fine in the web app, but it transcodes for some reason (mp3 and ogg). I included the FFmpeg log for reference. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-9737e654-229e-4462-8b02-aa5d64b1d04b_1.txt

The TV app cannot play a video without a video stream so this will have to be setup as a podcast or some other audio type. 13 hours ago, justinrh said: No, I did not try the standard app. You should. It will probably work.
justinrh 260 Posted August 15, 2024 Author Posted August 15, 2024 I don't understand what you are saying. I'm using the IPTV plugin - maybe that clarifies. The only thing you can do with that is exactly put in a URL.

Does Luke still expect it to play on the Std app? Why would the ATV app make false assumptions and the web app not? Can you change the ATV app to just play source and not make assumptions? Both of us expect it will play with that app - however, it very well may play in the video player interface instead of the audio one.
