Emby on Samsung TV Web not scrolling

I am having to use the Samsung Smart TV Web App to launch Emby as the Tizen app no longer works, and refuses to update.

When using the Web App, I can access Emby with no issue, but cannot scroll down using the remote or the Smart Things App.

Any idea on how to "enable" scrolling?

Hi Luke,

I have tried using both the TV remote, and also the Smart Things app on my iPhone. Neither seem to allow scrolling down the homepage, or if I go to movies or TV Series, scroll down those pages. They just stick with the part of the screen that is initially opened.

Have you tried using the arrow keys? Is the app set to TV mode in display settings?

In the Web Browser? Or in the Emby App when open in the web? 

I am using the arrows from the remote.

Not sure how to do this....

The none TV apps have Display modes.  User icon-App settings-Display-Display Move to TV.

I cannot find this on the TV I have. Have tried to look at all the settings on the TV and on my server, but cannot find this mode.

I would assume the browser is the same as all others.

Yes, the settings are the same, and show the user.

I have tried logging out on my computer then logging in with the TV username and changing the display setting to TV, but still no change, and I cannot scroll down or sideways past the initial home screen.

Very frustrating. Just got to hope that there can be a Samsung App developed for the Thailand region I guess. I wonder if it would be possible to add a Samsung "Global" App in English, which could be used in all countries, while translations are being undertaken. I know that translating to Thai would not be easy, so having one released for the Thai region in English would be a great start.

What issues are you having with the Tizen app?  It might be better for us to try and resolve that for as playback via the browser may be limited.

When I try to install the upgrade, I insert the USB disk, then it looks like its installing, but then reports that the upgrade has failed. No error number though.

I have tried this bothe before uninstalling Emby, and after with the same result. I have also deleted the Tizen zip and folders, then added the Tizen zip to the USB again, and unzipped it so the userwidget folder ad files are on the USB stick.

Not sure what else I can do.

PS, sorry about the late response, had to do some travelling.

Yes, I have been trying the arrow keys both on the remote, and on my iPhone. I have a Samsung 65" TV QN90

Are you actually uninstalling it, or are you just removing it from the home ribbon?

Go into apps and make sure it is really uninstalled, then remove the power from the TV  for 30 seconds then try installing again. Make sure the USB is formatted correctly as per the forum topic where you selected the download link. Make sure you have the latest version as well as it won’t install once it’s 30 days old.

I tried by removing it, and that did not work. I thin uninstalled it and tried again. No joy. I had formatted this USB stick previously and successfully installed Emby the first time, and just reused the same stick with a new download of the Tizen.zip

Will try reformatting and then installing a gain and let you know if there is any difference.

Still have the scrolling issue when using Samsung Web though.

Yes, works using the remote on my 2018.  I can scroll and click anywhere within the webapp.
