Selection boxes have '0 Selected' imprinted over default text

In many of the selection boxes, I see what looks like '0 selected' written underneath the default text for each box.

See below for example.

Prior to. Just got the app loaded for the first time on my Shield and this seems to be default behavior for me.

If I click into it, I'm able to change the value but when I go back out, this behavior continues.

Yes, I can use it -- but it's very hard to see what it is at first.

It's affecting maybe 40-50% of selection boxes I've found. Android for TV version 3.4.20

No, I just went through all the settings and all the context menus and I can't seem to find anything like that.  I'm on 3.4.20 also

How about on Settings - Playback - Preferred audio language?

This one does it for me, but many others are fine.

Nope, here is mine.  I've tried changing several options including what you have there and never see what's in your pic.

 

What's off is that yours says "Unselected" where mine says "Any" (when nothing is selected).
