pietro5000pp 0 Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 (edited) Hello, I'm coming from Plex, which doesn't has this issue. I want to switch to Emby, but it's the literal last thing that I need to get working before paying for it. So, when I put my credentials in open subtitles and try to download some subtitles before watching a movie/tv series, most of the time nothing appears. When it does, it's usually just one subtitle version, even though I unchecked "Forced subtitles only". Sometimes, even if there is something working, I often get "All the subtitles parsers failed to parse the following stream:" error. I don't even have an option to download and check it anyway, it just says "no" and that's all. I don't know what's happening, but it's tiresome. Plex didn't have this issue, and it also uses OpenSubtitles, so I'm sure it's my fault. EDIT: just realized that the only subtitles found are thanks to NapiSub plugin. However, OpenSubtitles doesn't work even with English! Edited August 13, 2024 by pietro5000pp

pietro5000pp 0 Posted August 13, 2024 Author Posted August 13, 2024 Fixed it in the most peculiar way possible. I changed my login and password to OpenSubtitles.com. Before, I used a randomly generated one which I copied over to Emby plugin configuration. It had a bunch of random symbols etc. I checked it a few times, constantly copying it over and over again to see if it finally works (the same copied password worked fine on the actual website). A few minutes ago I changed my password to a very simple one (just letters and numbers) and it worked. It had to be either an issue with copying a password, or with the symbols. Please look into it, as the credentials were 100% correct.
