IOS Apple Car Play - Audiobooks

Hi

I tried Apple Car play for the audiobooks which is a great feature by the way.

What i noticed is the audiobook in apple car play does not resume, it plays from the beginning everytime.

If i dont use apple car play and just use my iphone, then the books resume just like Audible.

IS there a setting for apple car play that i need to change?

Just to add

if I open the app on my phone I can see it is ready to resume 

however if I use the apple car play then it starts from beginning

I've tried downloading the book to my phone, but same issue. Even if i try to listen to the audiobook on my TV it starts from beginning. The onyl way to get it to resume is to open my iPhone app on my phone, resume it and then connect to car while its playing.

Just to add

i am currently taking screenshots of the app before closing it out when leaving the car so I know where to manually fast forward to.

 

also noticed 

I have about 58mins left in my book so now every time I open the app it thinks I’ve finished the book. Is there a way to prevent it from marking it as finished?

Edit you audiobook library.

This works for me, but if the book is very long 1% is a long time.

You could set it to 100% Max resume.

do you have any issues when closing the app and coming back and the book starting from the beginning? More so in apple CarPlay?

For CarPlay there will be fixes related to this in the next update to Emby for iOS. Thanks.

so far I am 110% not regretting switching from PLEX to Emby. Loving it so far
