Wouldn't think so but would no external communication have any affect here? jason2111 3 Posted August 14, 2024 Author Posted August 14, 2024 Thanks for the replies. This is a private network on a offshore construction vessel. The NAS is only connected to internet if it requires updates, firmware etc. Emby server updates are generally loaded manually. There are 96 registered users with most using emby via the samsung smart tv app. The other users , up to 30, would use the web app. Due to the vessel working 24 hours, maximum users at peak times would be in the region of between 10-15 and at any one time. All content is in suitable format for emby so that no transcoding is needed. all users are blocked from transcoding as well. Since i sent the first log, the system seems to be 'settling' o.k. I now have all plugins that emby comes pre installed with removed. Hopefully it will now stay like this as the system has generally been very stable
jason2111 3 Posted August 16, 2024 Author Posted August 16, 2024 Update : Server started consuming memory again last night until QNAP shut it down. NAS has 64GB ram, but i am not sure at what point it shut down. I have now reloaded emby server 4.8.8.0 to see if this makes any difference and will monitor over the coming days. 1
Solution jason2111 3 Posted August 19, 2024 Author Solution Posted August 19, 2024 Update 2: Problem solved ! Updated emby for samsung tv app. vast majority of tv's on system using latest version of app from samsung store -1.2.6. Looked at devices and found one user had version 1.0.68 and and a few others had 1.0.77. Updated these all to 1.2.6 and memory has now been steady at 1.5 gigs for a few days now. 1 1
