Help with JU7100

Hello, so I spent more time than I would like to admit trying to get Plex to work on my Samsung 7100.  Probably would have helped if I had dug into the particulars of feasibility first.  My conclusion is still somewhat of an assumption as Plex says anything 2016 and up should work for Samsung.  That and it doesn't seem to list my model for compatibility.  Anyway, seeing a thread dedicated to the J series gives me some hope for Emby..  Here is where I am at currently:

Model:  UN55JU7100FXZA

OS:  Windows 10 pro

Wired ethernet to PC and to TV on the same network

 

Server Version :  4.8.8.0

App Version:  1.0.77

So I have tried to both connect to the server manually and use the code to auto connect but have been unable to.  Not sure if I am missing something or maybe compatibility issues are in play too.  Do not have tons of experience with media servers so any help I can get troubleshooting would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance, GLE

On the server, do you allow plain http connections, or are you forcing https?
