suppervinny 1 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) Hello Emby community. I would like some advice to improve the performance of my system. Currently, I use AMD Ryzen 7 2700 with an old AMD GPU, this GPU is not used by the Emby server. The maximum 1080p simultaneous streaming supported by the CPU is only 5 connections, I would like to increase it to more than 40 simultaneous connections when using NVIDEA GPU. I have a GTX 750TI and I would like to know if Emby supports it, or if I would have to buy an RTX 4060 8GB and if it would support this workload. I also need to know if Emby would use unlocked NVIDIA for multiple transcodes without limit. Thanks Edited August 8, 2024 by suppervinny line correction
Luke 42077 Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Hi, here are two similar topics that might have some insight that will help you:
RanmaCanada 494 Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 40 simultaneous transcodes is currently impossible. You do not have the physical hard drive bandwidth to have 40 simultaneous transcodes. It has already been tested with NVME drives as the source, and it tops out at 19.
AndreiP 33 Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I suppose that you can consider to install Emby server on several PC.

Is there any software limitation on the number of simultaneous transcodings with it?
