Upgraded broadband, can't find Synology

Hi,

I upgraded my broadband and since then have been unable to detect the synology so can't use Emby. I tried going to quickconnect as well as find.synology.com but that hasn't helped.

Can anyone advise what I should be doing?

Did you have static IP addresses assigned?

No it was dynamic.

If your IP addresses changed afterward, it's possible that the NAS is still grabbing the last assigned IP address until they expire.  I've seen this happen to people a lot after changing hardware and all their IP addresses change.

Check this link out.  You may need to reset by sticking a pen or something in the hole in the back and then using Mode 1, or reboot your NAS after the IPs expire.

Check the notes to see what this all does and if you want to try that.

I tried resetting it (using a paper clip on the button till it beeped) but find.synology.com still doesn't detect it.

HI, are you able to use your Emby Server without using Quick Connect?

I am not - I've tried it on my phone, laptop, and TV (the latter I use most) but can't access.

Hi,

I'm still unable to access Emby or Synology. Are there any other suggestions available?

I doubt is as this goes beyond Emby if you cannot get to a device on your LAN.

Does your new router have a device list to see what devices currently connected?

Thanks, I found out it's in relation to my booster - when I unplugged the synology and connected it directly to the router it worked!

For some reason my booster however can't seem to connect to the internet (even when I plugged it directly to the router via an ethernet cable) so will need to figure out how to fix that.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, it really is appreciated.
